SAFETY
SDBAE members take pride in our conscientiousness toward environmental health and safety.
Environmental health and safety applies to all living things. Each and every SDBAE team member has a responsibility to be safety-conscious. Safety classes must be kept up to date. CPR and first aid certifications are periodically provided through SDBAE. SDBAE has implemented a safety program that requires weekly meetings with each team member reviewing a topic each week. Safety is a daily and hourly issue requiring all to be acutely aware of our surroundings and activities.
SDBAE team members focus on the big picture. With world emphasis on environmental issues, SDBAE expects the team to be environmentally conscious by minimizing unnecessary waste and recycling material whenever possible. Recycling does not merely mean saving aluminum cans. It means disposing of demolished materials properly. It means saving demolished material when appropriate. It means picking up dropped connectors, screws, and other seemingly insignificant miscellaneous materials. Recycling means retrieving aluminum, copper, paper, or any other recyclable material that will help make the earth a better, less wasteful, place to live.
